What HavenVault is, where things stand today, how your Vault reaches you, and what the warranty and Protect plans cover.
This is a placeholder describing HavenVault’s actual practices. It will be replaced with lawyer-reviewed terms before any Vault is sold.
What HavenVault is
HavenVault is a prebuilt hardware product: a private storage system with two mirrored drives, assembled, configured and tested by hand, then shipped to you ready to plug in. Protect and Protect Plus are optional plans in which we monitor your Vault’s health and, with Protect Plus, keep an encrypted copy of your archive offsite. HavenVault is a project of HavenLabs LLC.
Where things stand today
HavenVault is not on sale yet. Taking the Archive Safety Check, asking a question, or asking for founding member access is free and creates no obligation on either side. Before anyone is asked to pay, including a founding member, the price, the refund terms, and these terms will be set out in writing.
Delivery & setup
Vaults are built and tested in Provo, Utah, then shipped to an address in the continental US. No in-home installation is needed: you place the unit, connect power and plug it into your own router using the included quick-start guide. You’re responsible for providing power, space and a working home network.
Warranty
Each Vault will carry a 3-year HavenVault hardware warranty. You deal with us directly, and we handle any claim with the manufacturer ourselves. Full warranty terms will be provided with your purchase.
Protect plans
Protect is optional and can be cancelled at any time. Cancelling stops monitoring and support extras; it never locks your Vault or your files. If you have Protect Plus, your offsite copy is kept for 30 days after cancelling so you can download or move it, then deleted.
Your data & ownership
You own the hardware and everything stored on it. Mirrored drives protect against a drive failing; they are not a substitute for an offsite copy, which is why we offer one. No system removes every risk, and HavenVault is not liable for data loss resulting from misuse or removing drives improperly.
